Cosmetic Texture Photography for Luxury Beauty Brands

Working as a commercial beauty photographer in London, I’ve become known for my clean, minimal aesthetic that highlights authentic skin, real textures, and modern product storytelling. A New Direction in Beauty Photography

While I love a white-background, minimal beauty look (a millennial classic, right?), my recent test shoot took things in a new direction. By moving ultra close-up on the subject, I captured the soft applicator bristles gripping onto juicy, high-shine lip gloss. The contrast between fuzzy texture and liquid gloss creates an unexpectedly tactile, sensory beauty moment. It’s a fresh, modern take on macro beauty photography.

The Power of Colour

Paired with a steel grey and vibrant pink colour palette, this shot has become one of my favourite images of the year. The colours not only complement each other but also enhance the overall aesthetic of the image. This combination draws the viewer in, creating a visual feast that speaks to the senses.
