Hi, I'm Kathrin!
If you ask me what the red thread is within my photography - the answer is an easy one:
Modern minimalism and attention to detail!
Based in my scientific interest in close observation (that lead me to study Biochemistry in a previous life), I have developed the skills and the eye for details: From a little eyebrow hair that won't stay in place to a flower petal that should be placed 3 mm to the left - it is all about the little things that make the image. This will not only elevate the outcome of a shoot, but the work of the client, too. The hard work that went into making products should be honoured by carefully crafting images that reflect the quality and ethos of the makers. Beauty photography has to come with a natural edit - no airbrushed skin without any flaws. Yes, a few finishing touches, but making skin an unrecognisable texture is not part of my work. Fun fact - I wrote my BA dissertation about skin - even before I knew I'd become a beauty photographer. Should have given me a hint really...!
To provide my clients with the most beautiful content for their brand is important to me - you will never see me sending over half-heartedly produced or edited imagery.
Let's talk! Drop me a line about your project!
If I am not in my studio in Kentish Town, London, I can be found either repotting houseplants or in the (preferably Welsh) countryside.
